Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue (ROAR Shelter at 45 South Street (203-438-0158/roar-ridgefield.org) offers adoptions of dogs and cats that have been surrendered by their owner or adoptable animals that have been rescued from other shelters. ROAR is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote responsible treatment of abandoned and sheltered animals and to find them loving homes, and to bring animals and people together in mutually satisfying relationships.
